Five tips are to help you believe in yourself and your  abilities

When you are successful, you feel confident.  You believe that the best will happen to you.

It is confidence that spurs you on despite the obstacles that are place infront before you.

“Self confidence is the pre-requisite to great takings.” English novelist and literary once said this.

Here are the five tips to get you on the road to being a confident and successful person:

  1. Be Positive                                                                                                                     To develop confidence, you need to believe in yourself and engage in positive self-talk . Believe in your abilities and talents. Believe in your ability to do anything that you want to do.Each day you should say to yourself: “I am an able, valuable person.” Speak positively. Make positive  statements  to yourself before you sleep at night and when you wake up in the morning.  For example, you can say to yourself:”I am confident ” or “I am feeling great.”   Start each day by telling yourself: “Today is going to be a great day for me. Iam going to do my best.”
  2. Visualize Success                                                                                                   Always think of the successes you have  achieved, visualise them and enjoy the feeling that come with them. Feel the exhilaration of victory. Do this regularly and your confidence will grow.
  3. Improve Your Image                                                                                               Next, you should engage in practices that will help you present an image of confidence to others. These practices include the way you speak, the way you dress, your posture and your body language.  When you speak, you should avoid vocalised pauses like “er”, “um”, “uh”, “well” and “you know”.                                                                                      Use a strong, steady voice, neither shouting nor mumbling.   Your talk should include “I”statements, such as”I think”,”I,”I feel” and “I want”. Avoid qualifiers such a may-be”,”I wonder if you could”,”just”,”would you mind very much and “I can’ t” .  Dress appropriately for the occasion. Adopt a relaxed posture and maintain your poise.
  4. Prepare Well For An Event                                                                                         One of the best ways to ensure that you present yourself to others as a confident person is to be well prepared, whether it is for a  meeting, a  presentation or any other occasion. When you are well prepared, you exude confidence. Your thoughts are organised and you can present clearly nad confidently.  Be enthusiastic  about what you have to say. If it is a meeting, prepare your notes well in your notes well in advance. Make a list or answers to the items on the agenda.                  Do your research and make sure that your facts are right. To feel more confident, rehearse the points and arguments you wish to raised before the meeting. Use word s and phrased that are familiar to you. 
  5. Leave Your Comfort Zone                                                                                       Offer your services, undertake tasks and work at them with confidence.  Never be afraid of trying some thing new, something different. Take the risk and face the new challenge Always Think, “I can.”  Concentrate on what you want to get.  Speak to yourself confidently and tell yourself that you can succed. This way, you will look confident. If you have the confidence,in yourself, you generate positive energy and great determination and drive within you.  This in turn, will help you to face challenges, overcome the odds the hurdles, the hiccups and the bumps.

Many people are often paralysed for the fear of making the wrong decision, especially when the decisions are heavier with serious impact on their lives. For this reason, a wrong move affects and a right move will have better results.

“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing and the worst thing is you do nothing.” These wise words that resonate louder are from former US president Theodore Roosevelt.

The challenge of making sound decision for yourself, your staff or organisation is a real task especially when it affects the professional and personal well being of the said parties.

“It is your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped.” Anthony Robbins, World Renowned Motivation guru once said.
